Présentation : Purple Moon was a game developer specializing in girls' video games best known for the Rockett and Secret Paths games. It was founded by Brenda Laurel with backing from Interval Research in November 1996. Although they were successful, the company went into debt, forcing then-CEO Nancy Deyo to sell the company. Purple Moon filed for bankruptcy and was purchased by and absorbed into Mattel in the spring of 1999.
