Histoire : The Year 2054

Environmental destruction that had continued since the mid-1900s accelerated the phenomenon of global warming. The rising sea levels caused by this warming eroded many nations along the coasts of the continents.
Worldwide changes to coastlines gave rise to new territorial disputes, and it did not take long before wars broke out between countries.

Behind the wars, which grew more intense year by year, was the presence of EVAC Industry, a corporation exporting weapons across the globe and reaping enormous profits.

In an effort to break this situation, the United Nations entered negotiations with EI, but the UN’s proposal of a complete ban on all weapons exports and imports was flatly rejected. Subsequent rounds of negotiations also went nowhere. With no progress in sight, the United Nations abandoned diplomacy and secretly decided on military intervention.

On the surface, it would appear to be an attack by a stateless armed resistance group. In reality, it was a surprise assault carried out by a UN-led special combat unit.

“Destroy all weapons and weapons development facilities belonging to EI.”
“Eliminate everything connected to the United Nations’ military intervention.”

The order to carry out this mission applied even to the lives of those involved in the operation.
Even if the mission succeeded, they would not be allowed to return alive.

“However, those who volunteer may demand a single wish of any kind as compensation for their lives. The United Nations will take responsibility for seeing it fulfilled.”

There were four young people who volunteered for this brutal special mission.
Carrying wishes they desired to fulfill even at the cost of their lives, they set out.
For the sake of a bright future they themselves would never live to see…
