Histoire : On an island far away in the ocean, the "Peaceful Islands" used to stretch above the land. One day the rainbow mysteriously broke apart, separating into shards that fell on the land, which is divided in four islands. Eager to return the rainbow to its magnificent self, Hakkun sets out to retrieve the shards.

Sutte Hakkun for the Game Boy was never announced nor released. It had Super Game Boy enhancements.
This game dates from 1996, predating the 1997-1999 Sutte Hakkun GB, which was also cancelled. The game is a port of the first Satellaview version of Sutte Hakkun. Both this game and Sutte Hakkun GB were found in the Nintendo Gigaleak in 2020.
